Greetings, dear gardeners! We all want to get a big harvest every year from our summer cottage or vegetable garden, not just good-quality, but straight hoo. What magic methods gardeners do not come to in order to achieve such a goal, only actions are sometimes not always environmentally friendly. As it turned out, there is no need to come up with intricate schemes, everything has long been known. Crop rotation is recognized as the most effective tool for high-quality vegetable cultivation. It would be more correct to say, competent crop rotation.
Crop rotation is the rotation of crops on a certain plot of land from year to year.
I tried to make the article as constructive and useful for you as possible, made a classification and highlighted the features.
The principle of crop rotation works as follows, an example with respect to 4 beds.
Representatives of each group land on their own garden. The next year we make castling according to the scheme, and so in a circle for 4 years each culture will visit a new place. Further, note that some methods of crop rotation are divided into 4 groups for ease of understanding, this will help you easily understand this simple lesson.
We alternate cultures in groups. All vegetable crops are divided into 4 groups (Table 1). We organize the crop rotation according to the scheme No. 1.
We alternate crops according to soil requirements.
Each vegetable crop requires a certain level of soil fertility. Table number 2 will serve as a hint for you.
In Table 3 you can see which vegetable crops belong to which families.
We alternate vegetable crops by families.
If the size of the plot allows, then each family can be planted separately. And it is better to experiment with a favorable neighborhood of crops for greater yields, about this in Table No. 7
We alternate crops depending on their effect on the soil.
We organize the crop rotation according to the scheme No. 1.
Choosing the best predecessor. This method is the most effective, but at the same time the most labor-intensive. But for the sake of a better harvest you should try it
According to this method, the main thing is to choose the right culture-predecessor (which grew in this place last year). For convenience, I present below a comprehensive table.
Potatoes - in most cases grows as a monoculture, but it is advisable to do crop rotation in small areas. Plant in the same place after 2-3 years. |

Correct neighborhood of cultures. All plants affect each other differently, so it is very important to know the most suitable crop neighborhood in order to get high yields.
Correct placement can protect plants from pests, for example, the neighborhood of a tomato with cabbage helps to fight the flea and leaf beetle. Moreover, this method helps to effectively plant even the most compact area.

When thinking over a way to combine, pay attention to the ripening time of certain crops. For example, after May garlic, you can plant cucumbers, and collect the second wave of the harvest until late autumn.
Siderata include mustard, winter rye, peas, lupine, vetch. These crops restore and enrich the soil with useful elements. It is possible to plant green manure both taking into account the organization of crop rotation, and in free time from vegetables, for example, before winter.
Dear gardeners, I tried to give the most comprehensive information on the crop rotation system in the form of checklists. All information is coordinated in memos, tablets, save them, put them into practice and may a good harvest come with us!
