Features of growing varieties
The soil
Light, fertile soils are suitable for cultivation. About a week before planting, the earth must be dug up with humus. Disinfection is performed with copper sulfate. Good predecessors would be:
- Carrot.
- Cucumbers.
- Zucchini.
- Parsley.
- Dill.
- Cauliflower.
Bad predecessor - potatoes.
Seeds
It is necessary to plant seeds for seedlings in early spring. Before planting, the seeds are soaked in a solution of potassium permanganate for the prevention of diseases. A growth stimulant can be used if desired. The seeds are laid out on a damp cloth and placed in a warm place. After germination, they are planted in warm soil at a distance of about 1 cm between the plants and up to 1 cm deep. Put again in a warm place, cover with a film until sprouts appear.
Planting containers must have holes for excess water to drain.
Seedling
After the appearance of several leaves, the plant must be planted in separate containers or boxes at a distance of about 10 cm between the plants. They put the seedlings in a well-sanctified place, not forgetting to water them with warm water at the root of the plant. When the plant reaches 20-25 cm, it can be transplanted. In warm weather, the plant is usually planted in open ground in mid-May. For adaptation, the seedlings are exposed to fresh air several days before planting.
The temperature for growing seedlings is necessary up to 20 degrees, the stem in this case will be strong and thick, there will be no excess of green mass.
Care
It is necessary to dig holes about 0.5 m deep. Half a bucket of humus, 150 g of superphosphate, 25 g of potassium and urea, 40 g of ash are added to the pits for the tomato. Seedlings are planted at a distance of 0.5 m from each other, leaving a passage between the rows of 0.7 m. The transplant is carried out in cloudy weather. Watering is infrequent and abundant.
When watering, water should not fall on the leaves.
A week after planting, you can cover the soil with last year's leaves and straw (sawdust can be used instead of leaves). Mulch is beneficial for tomatoes. There are no weeds under the bushes, no splashing water, and another source of nutrients. There is no need to pinch this variety. Tying - as needed, with abundant fruiting. Tied to pegs or trellises using synthetic material.
Plants grow and develop well if the soil is often loosened and hilled.
Top dressing should be started two weeks after planting in open ground. The mullein is put halfway into the barrel, then added to fullness with water and insisted for 5 days. This solution is poured about 1 time per month for the entire growing season. Starting from the third feeding, 20 g of nitroammophoska and superphosphate must be added to the solution. For a good laying of fruits, you can spray with a solution of boric acid at the rate of 2 g per 10 liters of water.
Tomatoes are afraid of over-feeding, especially with fresh manure.
Diseases and pests
To protect plants from diseases and pests, all agrotechnical measures must be observed.
Tomato Peach is quite resistant to diseases:
- rot
- powdery mildew,
- mosaic,
- late blight,
- brown spot.
The variety is not afraid of bears, spider mites, tomato aphids. Late blight is a common fungal disease in tomatoes. It appears as brown spots. In hot weather, the leaves dry out, in cold weather they rot. Diseases are more susceptible to not yet ripe fruits. The first spraying is performed within a couple of weeks after planting in the ground, then in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Fogs and frequent temperature fluctuations contribute to the development of the disease.
To prevent further spread of the disease, the stems must be burned after harvest. From folk remedies, ash has worked well. For 5 liters of ash, you need to take 10 liters of water. Insist 3 days, stirring occasionally. Bring the solution to a volume of 30 liters, add soap there to better adhere to the leaves, process the plants.
Harvesting tomato
The first fruits appear in early July. They resemble a peach in appearance, which is the highlight of the variety. The taste is aromatic and sweet (contain up to 10% sugar), without sourness. Due to its low acid content, it has a beneficial effect on digestion. The variety is versatile in application.
Due to their decorative appearance, they are widely used for decorating dishes. Great for canning and salads. They are used for processing into juices and pasta, dietary and baby food. It is used as a dessert. The variety tolerates transportation well, but is not suitable for long-term storage.
